Privacy Policy 

At Grand Royal, we use your personal data in order to provide you with entertainment services. This policy describes how we collect, store and use your data. We take our responsibilities seriously and ensure the protection of your data. You can decide to change and manage the way we process your data as described in this policy.

 

When we use the terms "  data  " and "  personal data  » in the context of this Privacy Policy, we refer to personal data which identifies you or which could be used to identify you, including, for example, your name, your contact details, data relating to your reservation of activities, events or seminars. This qualification may also include information about how you use our websites and mobile applications.

What you need to know

  1.   Who is responsible for your data  ?

Le Grand Royal is responsible for the data you provide. Our head office is located at Rue du Grand Royal 2, 1390 Grez-Doiceau. We are a SPRL registered under registration number BE0479938281. We are the controller of your data and thus define on the one hand the way in which your personal data is collected and on the other hand the purposes of processing your data.

   2. Personal data we collect from you

Depending on your use of our services and websites, we may collect the following types of information about you  :

  • Your name and personal details (Email, telephone number and address) when we have exchanges with you (emails, letters, telephone calls, messages sent to our online messaging service, messages sent to us via social networks and communicated feedback) when you contact us or when you respond to our requests for comments.

  • Your payment card information  : Your payment card information is stored and protected in accordance with industry best practices

  • Information about you or your children  :

    • When you book a birthday or an activity  : surname, first name, date of birth

  • Surname, first name, date of birth, sex, address, telephone number, culinary preferences

  • Medical information  : name and telephone number of the attending physician, allergies or specific information necessary for the smooth running of the course

Certain types of personal data, such as data on your racial or ethnic origin, on your mental or physical health, on your religious beliefs, concerning offenses committed or alleged offenses are categories of personal data which must be subject to additional protection as required by law. We strive to limit the circumstances in which we collect sensitive personal data of this nature, but we still ensure the collection and processing when for example  :

  • You have reserved a place for a wheelchair user on our services  ;

  • You had an accident on our site  ;

  • You have requested a particular dish indicating or suggesting your religion (eg kosher meal) or health issue (eg gluten free meal)

When you provide us with sensitive personal data, you expressly agree to our collection and use of this data to provide you with services.

   3. How we use your personal data

We can only use your personal data if there is a good reason for us to do so. In accordance with the law, we can only use your data if there are one or more of the following reasons  :

  • To perform a contract we have entered into with you  ;

  • If a legal obligation obliges us to use your data for a particular reason  ;

  • When you consent  ;

  • When this use corresponds to our legitimate interests

Legitimate interests are the commercial or business reasons for which we use your data but, however, we will not unfairly place our legitimate interests above your interests.

In the table below, we have presented the different ways in which we use your personal data, as well as the purposes on which we use this data. If the use of your personal data is based on our legitimate interests, we will explain this to you. We take into account and respect these differences when processing your personal data.

    4. How we use your data to personalize the services we provide to you

We use your data from different sources and that we collect at different times to try to learn more about you and your preferences so that we can offer you personalized services. We use the information collected at the time of your reservation as well as by cookies. Cookies are small information files placed on your device saved by your browser. We use cookies placed on your devices to collect data on your use of our website and on-board entertainment system. We also use data provided by third parties (see section “  Sharing your data  ” listed below). We use the information that comes to us from these different sources in the following ways:  :

  • to facilitate our communication with you. For example, we use information giving your location to offer content in an appropriate language

  • to identify you when you visit our website from various devices

  • to figure out what else you like. We examine the pages of our website that you visit the most in order to understand your areas of interest.

  • To better understand your shopping preferences and habits, our data analysis and segmentation tools allow us to match you with customers who look like you. In this context, we sometimes use data and/or systems provided by third parties. We group together in the same category. We use segment information to improve our sales dialogue and to recommend tailored and personalized services to you, including new products and services offered by our partners. We also use them to ensure that the advertisements offered will retain your attention during your visit to our online advertising space.

  • To help you finalize your booking. If you do not complete a reservation you have started, we may contact you with your agreement to help you complete it.

    5. Newsletters  : how to manage the newsletters sent to you

We may send you commercial prospecting emails (“  Newsletters) if you have given us your consent for this. Our newsletters include information about our existing activities as well as our new activities, exclusive offers that you may also be interested in.

If you have already signed up to receive our Newsletters, you can change your preferences at any time. You can also unsubscribe to no longer receive Newsletters, by sending us an email.

Please note that if you let us know that you would like us to receive more Newsletters, you will still continue to receive necessary emails, for example, to confirm your reservation. We will use the contact details that you give us when you make a reservation (your mobile phone number, your e-mail address or both) in order to be able to inform you if a modification of your reservation should take place. This enables us to perform the contract we have entered into with you.

Please note that if you ask us not to send you any more Newsletters, we will keep a record of your personal information and your request to ensure that you are excluded from the Newsletters mailing list.

     6. How long we keep your data

We only keep your data for as long as we need it. How long we need this data depends on our purposes for which we are using it, namely to provide services to you, to further our legitimate interests (as described above) or to comply with the law. .

We regularly review the information we hold and when we realize that keeping it is no longer justified by legal, business or customer requirements, we will securely delete it or in some cases make it anonymous.

    7.  Means used to protect your data

We safeguard your personal data against unauthorized access, unlawful use, accidental loss, corruption or destruction. We also take operational data protection measures such as limiting the number of people with access to the databases in which information relating to reservations is stored. We ensure that these security measures are regularly reviewed and we rely on industry security standards to keep us informed of best practices.

   8. Sharing your data

We share part of your personal data with categories of third parties or obtain personal data from them. These categories of third parties are as follows:  :

  • People providing services to us. We share your data with our employees, our monitors and our subcontractors if necessary. We make sure that these people respect your personal data and comply with data protection laws.

  • Data analytics companies and advertisers. Depending on the configuration chosen for the use of cookies using our privacy interface tool, we may use your data on our data management platform. This platform helps us learn more about you and your interests. We may share limited or anonymized (or partially anonymized) data about you with other third-party advertisers.      9. Your rights

You can view copies of all the personal data we hold and request to modify, rectify or delete your personal data. You can also limit, restrict or object to the processing of your data.

If you have given us your consent for us to use your data, for example, to send you marketing solicitations ("  Newsletters  ”), you can withdraw your consent later. Remember that if you decide to withdraw your consent, we may still rely on the consent you gave us, as a legal basis, for the data processing carried out before the withdrawal of your consent.

You can object to the use we make of your data when we justify our legitimate interests for such use. You will find details on the use of legitimate interests in the table in the section “  How we use your personal data  ".

When you contact us, we will reply to you as soon as we are able to do so and if necessary within one month. If your request is complex, our response times may be longer, but we will get back to you within an additional period of two months maximum. Most requests will be handled free of charge, but we may ask you to pay a reasonable administrative fee if, for example, you request a large amount of data from us. We may also ask you to verify your identity before we can provide you with information.
